Ann and Bob Lee, founders of RAMP, attended the 2014 Texas Regional NORML Conference in Fort Worth where Ann Lee spoke. Listen to her comments about how marijuana became illegal in the 30’s, her childhood in the Jim Crow era in Louisiana, and where the government has gone off track on regulation of personal choices.
Ann and Bob’s son Richard Lee had a serious workplace accident in 1990 that resulted in his being confined to a wheelchair. In his research at the hospital library, he found studies showing benefits from medical cannabis for his condition. When he told his parents about his medical marijuana use, it was a sea change in their lives.
