RAMP will be holding an open meeting on July 30 in Houston, TX at the Black Labrador.

Our guest speaker will be Richard Lee, Ann and Bob’s son and founder of Oaksterdam University in Oakland, CA. Oaksterdam was the first-ever US-based educational facility in the science and cultivation of cannabis. Richard brought the spirit of Amsterdam to a formerly run-down area of Oakland. After years as a medical cannabis patient for his severe nerve pain, Richard visited Amsterdam in 2006 and came back to California with a desire to work with other professionals that wanted to establish best practices for the medical cannabis industry. By 2009, 15,000 students had received certifications from Oaksterdam.

After a DEA raid in 2012 left Richard in questionable legal standing, he divested himself of Oaksterdam and remained as a teacher.

Hear from someone on the forefront of marijuana policy. Richard has put himself on the line time and again fighting for an end to the disastrous policy of prohibition.

In addition to Richard Lee, RAMP will discuss 2015 legislative goals and get attendees set up to meet their lawmakers!
